In all the year I have windsurfed on Maui I have never experience a moment like this. I almost collided with a kitesurfer at Kanaha Beach Park on the island of Maui. Luckily the board that I am riding has a very tight turning radius which saved us from a very nasty collision. We were both lucky to not get seriously injured.
